COVID-19 Precautions
Clinic Safety Procedures & Protocols
As the first rule of medicine is “do no harm,” your safety is paramount.
My office follows the infection control recommendations made by the City of Philadelphia, the Department of Health, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the American Society of Acupuncturists (ASA).
Masks are required at all times during treatment. And you must wash your hands upon arrival. There is a sink in the waiting area or in the bathroom in my Center City office. There are sinks in the bathrooms in West Philly.
If you exhibit any of the following symptoms, you must cancel your appointment (there will be no cancellation fee): fever, temperature greater than 100.4 degrees, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, new onset of loss of taste or smell. You must wait at least five days after receiving a negative COVID test (OR, if a test is unavailable, please wait ten days) AND ensure that your symptoms have resolved before you come in for an appointment.
If you have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 and are asymptomatic, you must cancel your appointment (there will be no cancellation fee). You must wait at least five days after receiving a negative COVID test (OR, if a test is unavailable, please wait ten days) AND ensure that your symptoms have resolved before you come in for an appointment.
If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or if you receive a positive COVID test, you must cancel your appointment (there will be no cancellation fee). You must wait at least five days after receiving a negative COVID test (OR, if a test is unavailable, please wait ten days) AND ensure that your symptoms have resolved before you come in for an appointment.
If you have a specific concern or situation not covered by the scenarios listed above, please contact me so that we can discuss your questions or concerns.
If the waiting room is occupied when you arrive, please wait in the entryway until the waiting area is available. To maintain social distancing and avoid unnecessary contact, please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your appointment. No other person(s) can accompany you to your appointment. If you need to bring someone with you for assistance, please contact me first to make arrangements.
I’m looking forward to seeing you, and I’m happy to answer any questions you might have.
Thank you for working with me to help keep all of us healthy and safe.
