What Your Life Might Look Like After Getting Some Help

A common question I get is--”How many times do I need to come to acupuncture?” My general answer is once a week for six weeks initially, then we check in and reassess. A series of 6-10 weekly treatments is often a magical target number according to many acupuncturists. 6-10 weeks is usually long enough to soothe the nervous system, regulate the immune system, get the body working well, and re-establish a sense of calm and confidence and purpose in the patient.

I know that “calm, confidence, and purpose” might sound lofty or out of reach, but I see these results all the time. It’s a magical transformation. I seriously have days at work where I feel like there must be magical rainbow unicorn-cats galloping across the open sky of my treatment room!

After being cradled in the supportive atmosphere of acupuncture for 6-10 weeks, most people report feeling a sense of clarity and inner strength or connection that lets them begin making better decisions for themselves.

Within that initial period of 6-10 weeks, we have enough time to start seeing the results of new habits and routines that the patient has decided to put in place. This transformation, even if it’s tiny (like a seed starting to sprout into a flower) gives the patient enough confidence to keep getting support in moving forward with their goals.

I recently someone come in for acute lower back pain and within 2 weeks of seeing me, the pain was much less AND this person had quit eating sugar. When someone makes a change like that, I know that we’re headed in the right direction.

Being in pain--physically or emotionally--takes up SO MUCH energy! By helping this person’s back pain, we freed up enough energy for this person to start feeling good again, and in feeling good again, they stepped up and started to radically care for themselves in a really loving way.

When we’re stuck in pain, our energy drains towards those stuck places. Acupuncture works physiologically and emotionally to help you start feeling good again so that you have enough energy to do what you love and to support and care for yourself in a way that will let you keep moving towards whatever it is that you value most.

A patient recently wrote me this spontaneous testimonial because she wanted to share what it felt like to come in once-a-week for 6 weeks. Though I’m super prudish about protecting complete confidentiality for the people I work with, she asked me to use her name because she wanted to be an example for others.

"If you've never considered acupuncture, please do not rule it out. My work with Monica Fauble at Acupuncture with Monica has been one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. Over a period of 6 consistent weeks she helped me to regain an alignment with my mind and body that I don't know that I've ever felt before, and I don't intend to stop treating and caring for myself in one of the most nurturing and centering environments that I've experienced. Let this beautiful and loving soul take care of you too."

I seriously love watching people get grounded, get clear about what they want, and, in short, feel really good again, and sometimes feel good in a way they didn’t even know was possible! I also really love helping people have enough mojo to go out and get done whatever it is they really want to do.

I feel almost embarrassed by how jazzed I am when people come in and report that they feel better. I often start clapping or going “YEA!!!” with fist pumps in the air.

If you’re looking for a loving cheerleader who will walk beside you and support you in living your dreams, in feeling good again, and in getting clear about how you can best support yourself, I might be your girl.

If you’re feeling anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, or if you feel like your body is working against you, consider reaching out to me to schedule a free consultation. We will talk about where you’re at now with your health and where you want to be.

Together, we’ll determine if I’m the best fit for you or if I know someone or something else that might be able to help you better than I can. I'm super excited to hear from you!
