Cozy Up in Center City & Dare to Dream This Lunar New Year

Monica Fauble holds a standing infrad heat lamp from South Korea.

This has been quite an end to winter! This snow is reminding me of my two years spent in Maine. I’ve also been thinking about my very first acupuncturist, who I started seeing in Bangor Maine in 2005. Mary Margaret Roseberry scolded me about my thin socks (I’ve upgraded since) and insisted that I keep my feet warm as a general principle of health.

There’s a saying in Chinese Medicine that it’s ideal to have warm feet and a cool head, but most of us are hot-headed with cold feet. Keeping the body warm in winter, especially the feet, knees, low back, and nape of the neck is essential for preventing illness and protecting our inner reserves.

Just in time for this incredibly cold weather, I now have an infrared heat lamp (made in Korea!) for my Center City office. It’s awesome for the feet, the low back, the belly or anywhere else I want to encourage circulation and blood flow.

Reach out to schedule a Center City appointment and warm up with me with some cozy acupuncture and luxurious warmth.

Infrared light is said to help with circulation, blood flow, and inflammation.

In other news, I had so much fun offering my gentle yoga and journaling workshop in-person on New Year’s Day that I decided to bring this offering back for an in-home (virtual) session on Zoom. This event will be held on Thursday February 12th 2026 from 7:30-8:45pm.

Thank you to everyone who filled out the restorative yoga survey. Thursday night was the winner, so we will start there.

This workshop will be gentle movement, intention-setting and some guided journaling prompts to help you get clear on what qualities you would like to cultivate in the coming year.

No movement experience is needed to attend.

Even if you’re not so interested in yoga, I invite you to come just for the juicy journaling and goal-setting practices I will guide us through together.

View more information on my website and register to receive the zoom link

This workshop will be offered by donation, pay what you can, pay from the heart. It’s an offering from my heart to yours, and I would love to have you join me.

I would love to move and breath with you and help you enter the year of the Fire 🔥 Horse 🐴 with a felt experience of freedom and joy.

Reach out as always if you have any questions.
