Dear Friends,
We are in that time of year I call the “seed state.” It’s not quite winter but it’s also not the full glorious flourishing of spring. During this transition time, I’ve been finding my energy coming and going. I’ve been more upright and ready to roll state at some moments, or in need of a lie down at other times.
Regardless of where your energy is, this is a good time to store up some rest before we burst forth into the full beauty of spring.
I’ve still been enjoying quiet cozy wintertime vibes. I’ve been drinking tea and rereading the Laura Ingalls Wilder Little House on the Prairie series. And I also recently rediscovered lasagna. That weighty wintery food has been a great source of comfort and stability for me.
This is a great time to connect inside and start sowing some seeds. What are you looking forward to in the coming cycle of the year? And what would you rather leave behind?
This is a great time of year to journal, to enjoy gentle movement and to rest when that rest time is available to you.
My next online restorative yoga workshop is designed to help you reconnect with your slow, subtle nervous system. I originally scheduled the next workshop for 2/9, but GO BIRDS!--rescheduled for Sunday 2/23.
These workshops do not require any movement or yoga experience, and you also don’t need any yoga props or even a yoga mat. We’ll be using bed pillows and blankets to create a cozy nest to incubate our hopes and dreams for the arrival of spring.
Reach out if you have questions, or register here on my website.
