The start of spring (the equinox) on the solar calendar is soon! Next week on Friday March 20th to be exact! If you’re reading this from Philly, you officially made it through one of the top-20 snowiest seasons here since 1885. Congrats!
If you’re like me though, the fluctuations in temperature and precipitation may have taken you for a wild ride. You might have ended this winter feeling a bit depleted or drained or just aggravated/confused as we navigated so many sudden fluctuations.
I’m also guessing that your heart might be heavy, aching or scared right now. And that the state of the world might also be rocking your nervous system. I’m guessing that all of us might be needing some extra support.
In the spirit of support, I’m offering my donation-based at-home restorative practice again on Thursday 3/19 from 7:30-8:30pm EST on Zoom.
While practicing at home and on a screen might not sound at all relaxing, it can be so incredibly restful to be in your own space and near your own bed practicing yoga with others. Try it out and let me know what this feels like for you.
During this donation-based (pay from the heart) class, I will guide you through breathing practices and meditations designed to help you work with anxiety and tension in your body, mind, or heart.
You don’t need to have ever done any yoga before, and you are invited to come in your pjs.
I received wonderful feedback from my last session, held in February. Attendees shared that the class format and instructions were easy to follow and that they slept amazingly well after attending.
I designed this offering to be simple and accessible so that you can relax into the container I co-create with you.
I would absolutely love to have you there.
This month’s offering, like last month, will also feature guided meditation prompts that you can reflect on silently or to journal with during or after the class.
You can register here by visiting my website and typing your email into the registration box. You will receive an automatic reply with the zoom link as well as a reminder one week before and thirty minutes before the event.
If you registered for the February session previously you do NOT need to register again. I will keep sending you the zoom link monthly until you tell me that you would prefer to opt out of these at-home restorative yoga reminders.
You don’t need any fancy stuff to attend. Only bed pillows, a few blankets, and an optional yoga mat, journal, comfy pillows, maybe a scarf to cover your eyes, and anything else that brings you a sense of coziness and connection.
Special note: this month we will have the option of using a comfy chair or couch for extra support. So plan to set up your practice space near a couch or chair (if possible).
Think of this time with me like the sweetest coziest pillow fort you’ve ever envisioned. Restorative yoga is a chance to get comfortable and to create support for your nervous system that then allows you to check-in and meet yourself from a place of relaxation, comfort and support.
